This is gonna sound dorky (but I am one). The faint shading that defines his right cheekbone is fantastic. Hell, the shading overall!

Sam Winchester’s Journal – Entry #6

Tonight, a little girl named Bess should have been in the arms of her mother, playing with her hair and listening to her sing her favorite lullaby while slowly falling asleep. The only thing she will hear instead, will be the sound of her father’s tears and his voice telling her that her mom is never coming back. She’s too young to understand, though. The pain will come later.

We fucked up. I mean, bigger than usual. And god knows that fucking up has become a Winchester trademark over the years. Saving people, hunting things, the family business. My ass. All the people we’ve gotten close to are now six feet under. Ellen, Jo, Bobby, Benny… It would take days to make it through the whole list!

Dean and I have managed the scientific miracle of turning death into a contagious disease. We deserve a Nobel Prize at this point.

Sarah is dead, so are Jenny and Tommy. Abaddon is on the loose. Cas and Metatron are god knows where. Crowley has the upper hand on us.

Dean says he’ll think about a plan, but the only thing he’s done so far was empty a bottle of Jack and throw two glasses against the wall. Not that I’ve been of any great help myself, being too tired and too weak to think about anything.

But I have to focus. I’m too close to the goal to fail now.

Sam Winchester’s Journal – Entry #4

I woke up, my face covered in marker.

Our prank wars aren’t what they used to be 8 years ago, when we went back on the road together to look for Dad. These days, we basically start a new one every time we want to pretend everything is normal and that problems are miles away. It’s a known pattern.

That’s why I hate it when Dean does this. It says a lot about how he feels at the moment. I know that behind the pranks, there’s also more Jack Daniels, sleepless nights and prayers to Cas’.

Here’s what’s gonna happen now.

I’m gonna retaliate. He’s gonna pretend to be upset. I’m gonna say we’re even and that we should stop it here. We’re gonna laugh and have a beer in front of an old movie.

Everything is fine. Everything is normal.

As usual.

PS: Let’s hope he didn’t use a Sharpie like he did last time. It took me a week and a layer of skin to get rid of all the scribbles he drew on my face.
